Pop-up wastes are operated by a lever incorporated into your basin tap, and open and close when the lever is raised or lowered. Click clack or sprung plug wastes are simply pressed to close, and pressed again to release. Slotted and unslotted wastes are available, the slotted type is used when your basin has a bulit in overflow.

Bath wastes also have several variations. Again, the plug and chain type is available for a traditional feel. Pop up bath wastes differ from the basin type in that the pop up mechanism is generally operated by rotating the overflow. Click clack wastes have the same functionality as the basin versions. The important differerence with bath wastes is that they must incorporate the bath overflow as well as the drain. This generally means that there is an overflow, the drain, and a pipe connencting the two in one convenient package.
